First class service, unobtrousive, spacious, good pool and leisure facilities, breakfast started early enough for early departure

Later morning opening (8am) of pool at weekend

    Very good

We knew what we would be getting. Beds were comfortable, quality, clean, service. There were very few hotels or B&B's available by the time we decided to book because there was a festival that weekend. We had hoped to spend less for a place to stay, however, the places that were available were risky, so we went for the more expensive place because we knew it would be quality.

Disappointed that the pool and hot tub closed at 8 pm. We figured part of paying for the price of a higher end hotel would be that we could relax in the hot tub after a full day of sight seeing. Unfortunately, we weren't able to do that since the spa closed so early.

Location excellent - 5 mins walk from Eyre Square. Car park underneath hotel - directions on website very accurate and found the hotel easily. Lovely view over lake from some rooms and veranda - sat out after breakfast each morning in teh sun. Breakfast was included in our deal and had a great selection. Air conditioning in our room and that was necessary as it was very hot during our stay. Room was spotless as was bathroom. Bar stayed open after most pubs were closed. Staff very helpful and efficient re directions etc Didnt use the spa etc so cant comment on that

The location is great and all staff were extremely friendly. The swimming pool was an added bonus for my 12 year old son. Would definitely go back again if the weekend rates remain competitive!

Our young children are always made very welcome. We particularly like the family changing room in the pool area. It is convenient and private.

The heating in our room did not work which was unfortunate with a young child but the staff did provide us with a plug in heater and offered to change our room the following night. We were fine with the heater so we didn't bother changing and we were kindly given a 30 euro discount on our room for the second night.

    Superb

We loved the hotel, our room was excellent but I would expect this when paying 150 euro a night. The food expecially the breakfast was fantastic and the staff were lovely.

The only complaint was that we could not get a reservation in the spa .Also we were charged for parking, I feel that when its only 6 euro it could be absorbed in the room charge.

Location was great for a night out. No hanging around for taxis. Staff could not have been more helpful. Karen who checked us in was particularly helpful, giving us late check out. Room was good size, very comfortable and tastefully furnished. Great breakfast and comfortable setting.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was very good proximity to the centre of town. We stayed in an apartment and it was great to have that facility as we traveled as a group of 4 and it allowed us the comfort of having a place that we could all sit and chat. It is not easy to get this type of facility in many hotels. The SPA was also very nice. Of our group of 4 three of us had a treatment and it was very nicely laid out.

I thought the dining room for lunch was a bit of a strange set up as you could not get a menu option unitl after 3pm. So it was carvery or a chouce between 5 sandwiches. The restaurant was packed and we could not get anywhere to sit to ear our lunch and ended standing at the bar. We were provided with seating by one of the staff who was very helpful. I felt as it was so full there should have been an option to use the other restaurant where breakfast was served to allow people to sit down.

My husband and I go to Galway twice a year. We usually stay at The Radisson if rooms are available. We like the Radisson because it is centrally located, comfortable rooms and a nice big airy reception area.

The only thing I would have an issue with is the breakfast. Maybe the self service is a better option for you staffwise, but I think there is an awful waste of food. People seem to fill up their plates and then leave half to go to waste. I think if it was table service, the hotel would save money in the long run. I would like your opinion on this. Kate Buckley
